Customs and Operations Manager
About our partner:
Our partner is a global company headquartered in Spain, who offers various kind of services within the freight forwarding and customs area, since 2015, they also deal with e-commerce services.
Now they are expanding their services in Hungary, and they are looking for a Customs and Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:

Look after the good corporative image of the company in relation to Customs Authorities, customers, suppliers and the rest of stakeholders around Cacesa
- Grant the accomplishment of procedures and security rules established by the company as well as of applicable laws in the execution of the operations of his/her branch. Grant the accomplishment of Customs Laws and Rules.
- Manage customs authorizations request process by pushing for the information needed by the Customs Administration for the different authorizations we are applying for (Delta H7, Delta G, Simplified Procedure, Authorized consignor/consignee)

Analyse the results and evolution of his/her branch by controlling the efficiency and effectiveness of activities

Early organization of daily/weekly/monthly operations according to the forecasted amount of shipments, jointly with the rest of the team of the branch.

Planning, resource assignation and optimization of needed resources for the right development of operations (staff, suppliers…)

Coordination and follow-up of the activities of his/her teams

Control and supervision of the right handling of the goods in the warehouse in case of inspection and the inbound and the outbound of trucks

Follow-up and management of abandoned packets and its right processing according to customer´s request or to internal procedures.

Grant the management and follow-up of incidences and claims related to e-commerce operations. Grant the right information among affected parties.

Business development of the branch by looking for business opportunities in customs clearance for ecommerce or traditional customs clearance, with the support from our sales department to follow up the opportunities detected.

Attention to customers´ requests about e-commerce operations

Reporting to customers and to his/her superiors about activity performance, KPIs

Definition and implementation of new operations with the customer, the transport company and handling terminal

Translate the branch targets to his/her team

Analyse the results and the evolution of his/her field and control the efficiency and effectiveness of its activities

Management, coordination and supervision of the tasks of the staff supervised by him/her, as well as manage their needs about holidays, blackouts, training

Evaluate and take care for the development of the staff that reports to him/her. Support in the recruitment and onboarding process for new team members.

Accomplish the security, health and safety rules established by the company and ensure his/her team also accomplish them
Requirements:
-
Minimum 5 year-experience in customs department in Customs Brokerage, Freight Forwarding, Logistics and Transport companies or similar.
- Minimum 3 year of experience managing staff and leading operations.
- Studies of Foreign Trade, Business Administration or similar
- Training and experience in Customs regulations and procedures
