We are seeking an experienced Observability Automation Engineer to design, develop, and manage automated pipelines for monitoring and configuration management of large-scale cloud services. You will collaborate with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to implement monitoring-as-code and automation strategies across various public and private cloud environments, supporting across 30+ data centers.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated pipelines for observability self-services and internal configuration management.
- Implement and manage monitoring-as-code for monolithic microservices, shared services, and cloud infrastructure at an enterprise scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Automate deployment and operation of tools for configuration management across multi-cloud environments.
- Oversee the deployment and management of observability tools.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation and methodologies to engineering teams and executive leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code: Proficient in Terraform, Consul, Vault, and Git for managing automation workflows and infrastructure.
- Configuration Management: Hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible for managing configurations across cloud environments.
- Containerization: Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and container management in public cloud environments (Azure, GCP preferred).
- Scripting: Proficient in scripting languages like Bash, Shell, and Python for automation tasks.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in creating, managing, and optimizing build/deployment pipelines using Jenkins.
- Collaboration Tools: Solid experience with Git and Jira for version control and project tracking in Agile development environments.
- Observability Tools: Familiar with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Dynatrace, Zabbix, Splunk, and ELK.
- Web/App Servers: Familiarity with servers like Nginx, Flask, Rails, and Tomcat for building, deploying, and troubleshooting (Preferred).
- Cloud Expertise: Strong working knowledge of public cloud providers (Azure, GCP preferred).
- Performance Optimization: Ability to troubleshoot and optimize compute performance, driving Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) efficiency.
- Operational Frameworks: Exposure to ITIL, ITSM, or Six Sigma methodologies. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with operational frameworks like ITIL/ITSM.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills, particularly for cloud compute environments.
