The aim: to help change, to ease the shock of losing the job, to speed up the change process by raising awareness of personal and professional values, to (re)define career goals and to take the first steps on the path to the next job.

Caring dismissal helps to maintain the employer's reputation by helping departing colleagues to keep a positive image of their employer, while in the same time it demonstrates the importance of employees in the organisation and increases the retention rate of those who stay.
