Software Test Engineer (STE)

• Ownership of one or more game areas and features
• Applies appropriate testing methodologies for areas of ownership
• Create test cases, plan test coverage and identify risks
• Create and perform manual and automated test scripts
• Communicate with developer or production regarding areas of ownership, bugs or build deliveries
• Use data to analyze and drive test coverage
• Train and mentor Test Associates
• Review work done by Test Associates to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Solve problems independently and shares solutions with across teams
• Proactively escalates risks, concerns, or larger problems appropriately to Test Lead
• May present training, process improvements or postmortems.

• Strong knowledge of personal computers, applications software, and operating systems
• Ownership of features or areas of a product
• Experience leading, coaching and mentoring junior STE’s and Test Associates
• 3+ years of experience in software test in the gaming industry
• Preferred experience in the gaming industry or a video game enthusiast
• Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Demonstrated investigative and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with software development product lifecycle
• Must have the ability to learn new information quickly
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
• Technical training certification, Associate degree, or equivalent work experience/training
