IT Project Manager

• Lead waterfall IT projects from inception to completion, including software implementation, system integration, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Oversee up to three concurrent projects, typically lasting 6-8 months each.
• Manage matrixed project teams, addressing resource and schedule challenges.
• Develop effort-driven, auto-scheduled project plans using MS Project/Project Server.
• Reconcile timecards with project plans, adjusting forecasts as necessary.
• Maintain and reconcile project financial forecasts, managing variances and funding requests.
• Prepare and detail project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
• Utilize established processes for managing project changes.
• Identify, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions.
• Coordinate QA and UAT testing, ensuring robust test plans and strategies.
• Develop and execute deployment plans, securing necessary approvals for production migration.
• Ensure smooth service transition from development to operations teams.
• Manage post-implementation support activities during the warranty period.
• Prepare project closure documentation and status reports.

• 5-7+ years of experience in project management, delivering IT projects with budgets over $150K.
• Proven ability to deliver waterfall IT projects within a year.
• Proficiency in MS Project 2016; familiarity with MS Project Server is a plus.
• Experience in managing vendors and executing SOWs.
• Strong leadership capabilities, demonstrating executive presence and accountability.
• Responsive, consultative, and collaborative approach, considering business impacts.
• PMP certification (or plans to obtain within 12 months).
• Experience in managing and forecasting project financials.
• Ability to create clear, concise messages for all organizational levels.
• Sound judgment in making informed decisions from complex options.
